It is very interesting to find confirmation that my frustration is not unique! I work in navigation and some of our apps get into 3663 and most of the others get classified elsewhere. It is amazing how difficult the 3663 apps are compared to all the others! I've talked to prosecutors in the industry that have dealt with this art unit, and they also confirm the difficulty with this AU (some of them are maybe fellow posters in this thread!)

It does look like the Board gives a fair, independent review of appeals from this art unit. Here are just a few examples of reversals/corrections of a final OA signed off on by Mr. Keith: 11/169,054; 10/514,593; 10/686,895; 10/620,732 and 10/993,594.

While appeal looks like a successful rout, I hate to go right to appeal. Does anyone have any honest advice for proceeding with these guys that has been successful? I know the original poster suggested the ombudsman - does that work?
