Interviews are productive. He is actually prepared, will tell you what he thinks, and will work to advance prosecution. He is open to arguments and explanation of why you think your invention is non-obvious, and will respond intelligently. Not to say that he'll just give you what you want. But he is willing to listen and will actually consider your position. I'm always glad when I get him as an examiner. This is what the process is supposed to be like.
